Far East Hospitality launches new brands for properties in Sentosa
FAR EAST HOSPITALITY LAUNCHES NEW BRANDS FOR PROPERTIES IN SENTOSA
Unveils The Barracks Hotel as the brand for one of its three properties in Sentosa
Shares updates on new The Outpost Hotel and Village Hotel at Sentosa
Singapore, 6 June 2018 – Far East Hospitality, one of Singapore’s leading operators of hotels and serviced residences, is gearing up for its mid-2019 launch of its hotels in Sentosa. The homegrown company today announced The Barracks Hotel – a new brand under its portfolio, and also the name of one of its three properties in the Sentosa precinct.
Housed in a conserved colonial building, The Barracks Hotel is rich in heritage and history. Leveraging its iconic architecture, the 40 keys-property appeals to the mature and discerning travellers who are looking for an exclusive alluring getaway. The brand’s key target markets are Australia, China, Germany, India, Japan, Russia, United Kingdom, and United States.
Far East Hospitality will see its first The Barracks Hotel brand launched at the Sentosa precinct, together with Village Hotel at Sentosa, and The Outpost Hotel in mid-2019. All three hotels are located at Artillery Avenue in the Palawan area of Sentosa.
“The Singapore Tourism Board has recently announced that tourist arrivals are expected to hit a new record in 2018, rising by four per cent. With the increasing visitor arrivals, traveller’s needs and preferences will continue to evolve too. The introduction of new brands under our portfolio showcases Far East Hospitality’s forward-thinking plans and growth strategy. This ensures that we are ready for the uptake in tourism, as well as cater to the changing needs of travellers.” said Mr Arthur Kiong, Chief Executive Officer, Far East Hospitality.
The Outpost Hotel
The conceptualisation of the new The Outpost Hotel was announced earlier in November 2017. The 193 keys-property caters to millennials and young couples who have a distinct difference in preferences from families and groups. This group of individuals prefer exclusivity and a style of service that is unobtrusive.
Additionally, the stylish interpretation of the colonial black and white suite, accentuated with wood and natural blends makes The Outpost Hotel the ideal location for proposals, weddings, and engagement parties.
Village Hotel at Sentosa
Village Hotel at Sentosa is an expansion of the Village brand. The property, with 606 keys, targets the mid-tier market. This includes travellers from regional and international markets and Singaporeans looking for a family weekend getaway.
Village Hotel at Sentosa will also be an ideal location for business meetings, networking events, as well as company retreats, with team-bonding activities such as cooking and fitness classes available. The brand seeks to deliver memorable experiences that enable guests to eat, play, and explore like a local.
The three distinctive hotels, owned by Far East Organization and Far East Hospitality Trust, will have a total room inventory of 839 keys.
Far East Hospitality has signed a hotel management agreement in 24 April 2018 to manage the three hotels. Its responsibilities include hotel operations and sales & marketing functions.
